DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Downtown Hotel

I stayed here for a vacation, because I was planning on visiting a relative nearby. The location was great, just a walking distance to some bars, restaurants, and a theatre. My favourite was the ramen house (Sansotei Ramen) which was just on the other side of the building. It was also about a 10-minute walk away from the Yonge-Dundas Square where you can watch free live performances at almost any time of the day. I had a nice experience while staying in this hotel because the staff was very accommodating and willing to go out of their way to help. They provided us with cookies and welcome drinks upon arrival, and patiently guided us to our rooms after check-in. The room was nice and clean, but quite small than other hotels we’ve stayed in. The bathrooms smelled like fresh linen and were properly stocked with bath supplies. Besides the tough parking space, another downside was the bed which was a bit uncomfy and didn’t feel nice, felt like it couldn’t support my weight. Bed and pillows need to be improved.

Fantastic location fora downtown escape. Hotel was well located for shopping, sight-seeing and eating out. Front desk staff were friendly and made sure we shared our welcome biscuits (one each) and that our needs were met. Great to have a laundry on site.The staff were extremely helper as I'm from the UK, beds really comfortable and room was perfect.The bed was very comfortable and the room appropriate for our needs. The hotel staff was excellent, especially the concierge, who gave us tons of good advice and recommendations for travel around Niagara! We arrived at the hotel early in the morning after taking a red eye flight and the staff was able to get us into our rooms so we could have a nap before hitting Toronto. That was greatly appreciated!The Hemisphere Restaurant/Bar staff was slow and staff not super quick or friendly, menu was limited and the bar closed at 11pm. Considering the hotel isn't very close to any happening spots, we would have liked a better restaurant and bar experience, that way we would have stayed there and spent money at the property instead of leaving.
